BrewLune mushroom coffee (Dawn Patrol) is the best-tasting mushroom coffee we have tried and the best-disclosed instant we track: 500 mg lion's mane, 400 mg cordyceps, 300 mg chaga and 300 mg reishi, all fruiting body, at $1.13 a cup. It is sold direct in small batches (check availability) and has not yet published a certificate of analysis.

Everyday Dose mushroom coffee (Coffee+) is one of the smoothest-drinking 'focus' blends thanks to L-theanine and collagen, with fruiting-body lion's mane and chaga and 45 mg caffeine per cup. At about $1.50 per cup you are paying for the stack, not the mushroom dose: the two mushrooms are not broken out per species on the label.

Four Sigmatic mushroom coffee (Think) is the most transparent mushroom coffee on the market: 250 mg lion's mane and 250 mg chaga fruiting-body extract, disclosed per cup, with 50 mg caffeine and third-party testing. The trade-off is price, at a premium $1.90 per serving for the instant packets, and only two mushrooms, with no cordyceps in the Think line.

Shroomi mushroom coffee is the ground-coffee pick for people who want a real single-origin cup first and mushrooms second: fruiting-body lion's mane, reishi and chaga with a published COA and 80 mg caffeine. The 16,000 mg per bag works out to only about 670 mg of mushroom per cup, at $1.54 a serving one-time.

Spacegoods mushroom coffee (Rainbow Dust) is the UK's biggest and has the clearest label of any multi-mushroom coffee: 1,000 mg each of fruiting-body lion's mane, cordyceps and chaga, plus 300 mg KSM-66 ashwagandha. But it is a flavoured, sweet-leaning drink rather than a plain coffee, at about £1.63 a serving, and its lab-testing claim has no published COA.

VitaCup mushroom coffee (Focus) is the most convenient way to get a disclosed lion's mane dose: 500 mg fruiting-body lion's mane extract plus 250 mg chaga per K-Cup, with full 110 mg caffeine and added B vitamins and D3, at about $1.50 per pod. The coffee is not certified organic, unusual for a brand at this price.

Wunderground mushroom coffee (Brain Wash) is the highest-dose mushroom coffee we have reviewed: 5,000 mg of four fruiting-body mushrooms (lion's mane, cordyceps, reishi and chaga) per stick with a lab-verified 22.7% beta-glucan figure and 90 mg of caffeine. It costs a premium $1.67 per stick, gives no per-species split, and we could not find a published heavy-metal COA.

RYZE mushroom coffee is the safest first mushroom coffee: smooth, cheap per cup at $1.20, organic and easy to find at Target, with 48 mg caffeine. But it discloses only a 2,000 mg six-mushroom blend total, with no per-mushroom doses, so you can't tell how much lion's mane you're actually getting, and we found no published COA.

Laird Superfood mushroom coffee (PERFORM) is the cheapest real-coffee option in the category, about $0.59 per cup of organic Peruvian ground coffee with 100 mg caffeine. The four-mushroom fruiting-body blend of lion's mane, chaga, cordyceps and maitake is only about 500 mg total with no per-species breakdown, so it is coffee first and mushrooms a distant second.

Lucid mushroom coffee is the pick if you want nootropics and mushrooms in one instant: 2,000 mg of fruiting-body lion's mane, tremella, cordyceps and turkey tail plus a 3,000 mg alpha-GPC, L-theanine and creatine stack, with 45 mg caffeine. Neither stack is broken down per ingredient, and you pay $1.33 a cup at $39.99 for 30 servings.

Om mushroom coffee is the only mainstream instant blend that prints a beta-glucan number (400 mg) on the label, and at 120 mg caffeine it drinks like a real cup for $1.33 a serving. The catch is that its 2,000 mg of lion's mane and cordyceps is whole-mushroom powder grown on substrate, not extract, with no per-species split.

Peak State mushroom coffee is the choice if you want specialty whole-bean coffee carrying a mushroom extract: B Corp, Regenerative Organic and third-party tested, at $1.36 a serving. But 500 mg per cup split across lion's mane and cordyceps is a small dose, and caffeine is not stated in mg, so our 95 mg figure is an unverified estimate.

Pella Nutrition mushroom coffee is the cheapest way to drink a seven-mushroom coffee, about $0.37 per cup for organic, fruiting-body-claimed instant with 90 mg caffeine, at $21.99 for 60 servings on Amazon (a price that moves). The 1,500 mg blend is a proprietary total, roughly 215 mg per mushroom at best, with no per-species amounts.

Shyne mushroom coffee is the single-mushroom pick: 500 mg of lion's mane (or chaga, or turkey tail) per cup in a sweet, creamy Canadian instant with 70 mg caffeine, a clearer dose than any multi-mushroom blend. But the extract is part mycelium, there is no published lab testing, and the one-time price is CAD $1.73 a cup.

La República mushroom coffee is the cheapest seven-mushroom instant we track at $0.74 per serving, with organic, fair-trade coffee, 70 mg caffeine and fruiting-body lion's mane, chaga, reishi, cordyceps, maitake, shiitake and turkey tail. It gives no milligram figure for any mushroom and no blend total, so you cannot judge the dose, and there is no third-party testing claim.

Beyond Brew mushroom coffee is the coffee alternative for people who want the ritual without the caffeine, at about 5 mg per cup, in cacao, vanilla latte and caramel macchiato flavours for $1.30 a serving. Its 522 mg six-mushroom 4:1 extract is spread thin, with no per-species amounts and no statement of fruiting body versus mycelium.

Melting Forest mushroom coffee is the cheapest fruiting-body seven-mushroom instant we have found at $0.67 a cup, with cacao, branded rhodiola and L-theanine. At 2 g per serving with no stated mushroom amounts, the dose is unknown and almost certainly small; caffeine is not published, so our 50 mg figure is an estimate, and we found no COA.

Sun Alchemy mushroom coffee is a full-caffeine, no-frills sachet from Terrasoul, an established Amazon superfood brand: 110 mg caffeine and a 1,000 mg four-mushroom dual extract of lion's mane, reishi, chaga and cordyceps for about $1.25 a cup. There is no per-species split, no published testing, and the $14.99 price is from Terrasoul's catalogue and may differ on Amazon.

Bulletproof mushroom coffee is The Mood Booster, the brand's first mushroom coffee: toxin-tested arabica with lion's mane, reishi and KSM-66 ashwagandha at $18.99 a bag. The label gives no amount for any of the three, and Bulletproof does not publish servings or caffeine per cup, so our 24 servings and 95 mg figures are estimates, not brand numbers.

Grateful Earth mushroom coffee is the sweetened, creamer-included instant of the group: 250 mg each of lion's mane and chaga plus 50 mg L-theanine in a coconut-and-brown-sugar stick with 50 mg caffeine. It is convenient and clearly labelled, but not organic and not cheap at $1.85 a stick direct, near the top of the category despite its budget reputation.

MUD\WTR mushroom coffee is not coffee but a cacao-chai alternative (Original), and the most transparent multi-mushroom blend on the market: 560 mg each of lion's mane, chaga, reishi and cordyceps, with 35 mg caffeine. The mushrooms are grown as mycelium on oats and sorghum, so part of that weight is grain, and $1.67 a cup is steep.

Renude Chagaccino mushroom coffee is the cleanest label in the category (wild chaga, organic cacao, Ceylon cinnamon, monk fruit, nothing else) and the only one built around a single mushroom, with 500 mg chaga and zero caffeine per stick. But chaga has no human dosing trials, and $1.67 a serving is a lot for a mocha add-in.

Atlas+ mushroom coffee is the kitchen-sink blend: fruiting-body lion's mane, reishi and cordyceps plus collagen, DE111 probiotics, ashwagandha, L-theanine, D3 and B12 in a 45 mg caffeine instant at $1.36 a cup. Reviewers say it tastes the most like real coffee, but not one of those ingredients has a stated amount, and we found no third-party testing statement.

Peak Performance mushroom coffee is a well-sourced organic coffee pod: single-origin, fair-trade Guatemalan, low acid and third-party tested, at about $1.50 a pod. Its five mushrooms are added in undisclosed amounts, and caffeine per pod is not stated, so our 100 mg figure is an estimate, making it a coffee first and a mushroom product only nominally.

Ylva Blends mushroom coffee is the first mushroom coffee built around women's hormonal health: lion's mane, reishi, chaga, maitake and shiitake with black cohosh, hops and St John's wort in an Amazon-only instant. No ingredient has a stated amount, the caffeine figure is undisclosed (our 40 mg and $29.99 are unverified estimates), and St John's wort interacts with many medications.
